I'm working on my christmas list and I'm trying to figure out what to buy my nieces and nephew. These kids have EVERY toy. They are ages 2,4, and 6.
I'm thinking about buying them each their own bookshelf and a couple of books. My sis told me they don't have a bookshelf in their house for the books I already bought the kids (and i'm apparently the only person who buys them books). So, is that lame? I just don't want to contribute to adding more junk to their house (they have a big house but you can't walk through the kids bedrooms or the den because of all the toys).
Re: Is this lame?
GREAT idea!
And I'm sorry if this is out of line, but how do these kids not get books from anyone besides you?

I think it's a good idea and I like this one from Target: It may be a tad on the small side though.

You know, I have asked that question MANY times. My mom doesn't buy them for them because they aren't "fun" (What?? I LOVE books...they're fun!). My sister doesn't because she doesn't really buy them anything. My BIL's family isn't big into education (they don't see the point). SO it's just me. The good news is, I at least know which books they own because I did buy them all for them.
Great idea! We love books in our house!
My SIL gives great books that MH and her read growing up and always writes a little note inside the book.
