I am going to take my husband out to eat for his birthday. He loves sushi...
Where should we go?
Cincygirl- I checked your food blog... but didn't see anything about sushi yet!
Re: Best Sushi in Cincy?
I do not eat sushi but my best friend loves it. Her favorite place is Kyoto in Symmes Township on Montgomery Road

I don't know if it's the "best" but in terms of convenience for me and overall quality, I 2nd Kyoto. As a bonus, the Regular Rolls and Gourmet Rolls always seem to be half price anytime I'm in there (and I've been in for weekday/weekend lunch, weekend dinner)!

Nope, I don't have a sushi place on my blog.
H's best friend and I went piece for piece at Dancing Wasabi the other week, but I don't know if I would go there for a special occasion.
For top of the line go to Jo An Japanese. It is Erlanger. H has been and said it was the best sushi he has ever had. It is where the toyota exes go. I hear they look down at American's a bit, but it is worth it. Don't be afraid that it is in a strip mall. i have eaten so damn good food in strip malls. It is a top 25 restaurant in cincinnati...Take what I have to say and do a little research. I have never been and that is not a very good topic of conversation in our house.
my other favorites, starting at the top. AOI, Sake Bomb, Asiana (who doesn't love BYOB)
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sushi!
My favorite place is the Green Papaya in Hyde Park (on Wasson.) Their specialty rolls (Green Papaya Roll and Lava Roll) are amazing!!!!
Second Jo An Japanese. It's the best! It's not in a strip mall, but rather on the bottom floor of an office building. DH and I meet up for lunch there all the time since it's in the middle for us. The atmosphere is nothing great though, but the sushi is to die for.
We do like Myoshi on KY-18 as well. We like the atmosphere there a lot better. They are only open for dinner, but the place is always packed with people. It's small and intimate.
Now I am craving some sushi.
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
Agree totally with Cincygirl -- Dancing Wasabi is wonderful. They do half price sushi on Wednesdays and thursdays and again Friday and Saturday after 10. Its loud and crowded those nights but very fun. The food is wonderful -- try the red double roll. I promise you wont be unhappy.
There is the new ichiban in Mt. Lookout as well - I only had a bite of their sushi with a friend the other night but it was very good. Worth a try.
Green Papaya is very good as well, and I used to swear by Sake Bomb until they changed all of their help about a year back. I am not the fan anymore.
Yup! They are still there. It's near my office and their bento box lunch is great.
Green Papaya! That's where we love to go!
And on Wednesdays Embers in Kenwood has half price sushi at their bar, and it's very very good. I got their Kobe Beef roll, it was amazing and unique!
I really like:
Beluga in Hyde Park
The Waterfront in Covington
Soho in West Chester
....... ugh now I want sushi & I can't have it for another 239 days
OK I really have no idea as I know nothing about being pregnant but Isn't it just raw stuff that you can't eat? You could get some rolls that are cooked to hold you over?

Ditto. Can't you eat california rolls? or avacado & plum rolls?
I have to confess-I only eat cooked or veggie sushi. It's not the fact that it's raw fish or the taste, I just don't like the texture. But yes, uncooked fish has the potential to carry little nasty things so pg women or anyone with a compromised immune system is advised to avoid it.
I like Teak in Mt. Adams
I like Foreign Exchange in Anderson (same owner as Teak)
I really like this place too!
