Hi ladies,
home from my wonderful vacation in Paris. Wow what a great city, we had such a wonderful time. Did all the touristy things (eifel tower, arc de triomphe, notre dame, boat ride on the seine), as well as a bunch of museums. My absolute favourite though was going to the palace at Versailles, that place was amazing, being in the gardens there felt like we were inside a storybook. The city has such a different feel to it than being here in Toronto, it had never really hit before what a young country we are compared to the European countries.
The trip was also delicious, even without my being able to enjoy all the wine/soft cheeses (okay okay I did have some soft cheeses, and man were they good)
Now back to reality, I can't believe it's October in two days! Where did September go???
I hope everyone is doing well here ![]()
Re: Paris was wonderful!
I don't have anything nice to say because I am fully jealous.
?
I'm glad to hear you had a great time! As a hard-core cheese lover myself, I wouldn't blame you for trying some out! and wine too
Europe is amazing but Paris - wow!
I can't wait to see some pics...
I'm going to put some pics up on fb (as soon as I get around to actually uploading them and sorting them that is!) You better believe I took a cheesy eiffel tower shot, I'm alll about the cheesy photo ops (much to DH's dismay...)
I tried a few sips of DH's wine on two if the nights but was actually super disappointed, it tasted really weird. Not sure if it just didn't go with the meal I was having, or if it's b/c it's red and I'm usually more of a white drinker, but I wasn't impressed.
I did however bring home lots of wine from the duty free shop to enjoy come January!
Glad you had an awesome time! Can't wait to see pics
I still haven't uploaded my pictures from Italy when I went in June!
I am so crazy jealous, it's not funny!
Glad you had a beautiful trip - sounds AMAZING!
so good to hear about your time in Paris, Shannon. I went for World Youth Day when I was 19... it was an absolute zoo with the extra million people going to the exact same places at the same time. but I agree about Versaille... what an amazing place.
DH has no interest in Paris at all, so I'm glad I went when I did. Now the south of France... I hope to go there one day.
