DP: Favorite place to eat?

Sooo everytime my dh and I decide to go out to eat we are in the battle of  "where do you want to go..."  so we are looking for new places to eat.  Where is your favorite place to eat?

Re: DP: Favorite place to eat?

  • We love Drago's!  But since it is a little expensive, we only go there on special occasions.  The one in the Hilton Riverside is not a crowded as the one in Metairie so we usually go to that one.  For a little less expense, even though now it's not that much cheaper, we like Zea's.  And I LOVE Mexican so we either go to a little hole in the wall on the Westbank, Los Tres Amigos, or Superior Grill.  Although I have to admit (shamefully) that I do love me some Cucos, Mucho Macho Nachos are the best!

  • I don't think Tres Amigos is there anymore.

DH and I go to Texas Roadhouse all the time (the one by Best Buy/ BArnes and Noble).  Copeland's was pretty good the other day.  And I LOVE a shrimp po-boy from New Orleans Seafood and Spirits

  • WHAT?!?!  You have got to be kidding, MrsSaxy.  I has been a while since we went there but dang!  I'm thinking of the place on Lapalco around Helen Cox.  I passed there a couple weeks ago and it looked hopping, so maybe Los Tres Amigos is not the name of where I am thinking.

I now have a mission this weekend!

I agree...Texas Roadhouse is awesome.  The ribs and the chili are great.  If only I could not eat the peanuts and bread, I could maybe actually finish my entree.  :)

  • The Blue Tomato on Jefferson hwy.  mmmmmm excellent mexican food. Try the garbage can nachos. I also like Port Of Call for burgers. Probably doing that for lunch with Dh today actually!

  • maybe Tres Amigos moved.  It used to be by Marrero Vet Clinic across from Toys R Us on Lapalco.

His Earth...you've got to make the trek to the Eastbank for Sake Cafe.  It blows Tennou out of the water.

  • Tres Amigos has been gone for a while--DH and his BFF used to go there a lot.  I think the restaurant that replaced it is gone, too--it's hard to see while zomming down Lapalco.

DH loves Gordon Biersch by Harrah's, but we also go to Chili's, Eastern, IHOP, etc.  Specialty Bistro was pretty good the one time I went--haven't been post-K yet.
