Help if you can!!

Hey! I posed this on the Knot so I figured since I am no really a knottie I could also ask you girls! I will try to post more often after this! Thanks!

I am a member of our Diversity Team at work and we are planning a Charity Event for Cancer Research. We haven't set in stone which Cancer Charity yet. However, we do know it is going to a Cancer charity. We want to get a place picked out before we set anything else in stone.

My question is we need a empty room with a open bar, dance floor, and few appetizers for about 200 or so people. We will be bring in our own casino tables and stuff like that.  We are looking at a tentative date of May 21, 2010.

Do you have any location idea that will fit what I need? Since my Grandma passed away with Cancer this is HUGE for me!

Thanks!

  • My friend got married at Jungle Island and the appetizers were amazing... I am sure they can work with you.  I don't like sushi, but everyone rave about the sushi boat.   My favorite where the empanadas! :)

  • Just a thought, has your company thought of hosting Relay for Life? I have been to quite a few in different communities and they are a lot of fun and raise thousands of dollars.  I don't know how big your company is, but if its large enough, you can break up into teams and have booths.  Or you could pair up with other companies as well.  Just a thought.

I loved my venue, the Westin Colonnade.  The Merrick Ballroom sounds like it would be perfect for this and the appetizers and food are delicious.  Their packages are also quite affordable, especially for corporate events.  I booked a corporate event for my work there and it was great.

     HTH :)
