Knottie now Nestie

Excited to be on this side of the coin. Now we have to work on getting a house. I am so uneducated when it comes to this stage. I am sure I will be asking a lot of you a tom of questions.

Re: Knottie now Nestie

  • Welcome to the NOLA Nestie world!

  • I'M in that stage and I am woefully lacking.  However, I CAN tell you first and foremost to GET YOUR CREDIT STRAIGHT.  Both of you.  Get your scores boosted as much as you can, take care of any old debts, keep close watch on your credit report and credit score, and decide together what you guys actually want from a house.

Welcome to the ol' married broads' side! ;-)

  • Hi there and welcome! My DH and I just bought a house in August, so can totally relate. People were talking about all sorts of acronyms and technical terms. I was SO confused! I must have called my dad 10 times a day with questions. Buying a house is a big decision, so make sure you have a good agent and someone you can count on to help you through the process. GL and have fun!!

  • Welcome!

I second dramaqueen!  We found a house, had a down payment and when the finance co. ran our credit, old debts of DH's parents were on his report.  We had a time dealing with that, but thankfully my brother was our loan manager and helped a ton.

    Good luck!
