Lord, the last parade I went to was definitely pre-K with my little cousin, but I'll try:
1. Where's your "spot" for watching the parades? St. Charles and MLK/Melpomene--it's a few blocks from my church where we tailgate.
2. What is your favorite parade? When I was marching, Endymion for the glam factor and Thoth for the winding routes past the hospitals; as a spectator, I don't really have one.
3. Do you only catch the fancy beads or go for the little beads too? I catch them all and give most of them to the little kids on the route. I know some people in different krewes so I can get the fancy ones anytime.
4. What's your favorite Mardi Gras Song? Either of the Professor Longhairs--it's especially fun singing "Go To The Mardi Gras" when you actually ARE on St. Claude and Dumaine. ;-)
5. Do you porta-potty or hold it? HOLD IT--it's only eight blocks to the church. ;-)

5. Do you porta-potty or hold it? Neither... I live right off of our "spot" on the parade route side... so I go at home. :-)
Sparkman, you will enjoy yourself. That is a good area for the parades. If you listen to local radio and watch WWL or WYES long enough, you should hear most of the "official" MG songs. The few that I know of:

2. What is your favorite parade? I agree with Scooter, Muses is my favorite! I'm sad it was put off till tomorrow.

1.) Inside the Convention Center at our table with drinks and food a-plenty! If we go to Metairie, we can usually be found somewhere along Bonnabel.

5.) At the Bacchus ball I use the nice clean toilets of the convention center, but when you gotta go, you gotta go so if I'm on the street a porta potty will do.
