Food thoughts

I am DYING to make "crack dip" (aka buffalo chicken dip).  The only occasion I'll have is if we have an appetizer night for just Greg & I, so I was thinking maybe Saturday making it something like that (app night/snack day/something.)

Suggestions?

I only have the crack dip and maybe stuffed mushrooms.

Re: Food thoughts

  • Sometimes we do that on Sunday's while watching football. Usually we'll make some sort of dip and drink beer. Typically we're too full to add any sort of healthy food like veggies :) But crack dip and stuffed mushrooms is a good idea!

  • For something lighter you can do a caprese salad.

I make a chili cheese dip for every football get together we have, it is so good and is always gone first and it is super easy.

You layer one package of cream cheese on the bottom of a dish (I use a shallow pie dish), then you top that layer with one regular size can of chili (I use Hormel turkey chili w/out beans), then top that layer with shredded cheddar cheese.  When you are ready to serve, put it in the microwave for about 3-4 minutes.  Then top it with chopped scallions and serve with tortilla chips.  It is always a big hit.

We make chili cheese dip all the time! We also like making Velveeta with Rotel. And then sometimes I'll add chili to the Rotel dip. Yum!
