  my mil did a cute one and people seemed to like it.  She bought a bunch of random baby items (detergent, medicine dropper, clippers, teether, brush, etc.) and had people guess what each item cost.  Then they added it up.  The closest person to the real cost won a prize.  It was fun to see how different the totals were.

  Well this isn't a game idea (although I could probably give you some after this weekend) but I think it's a creative/cute decoration.  Have you seen the diaper cakes?  If not, I can find a link to the bio that gives detailed instructions.  It's a great practical gift and decoration all in one!

  I mentioned this before but try a diaper raffle.  Buy a nice prize (we bought a travel DVD player and I have seen huge gift baskets, etc) and whoever brings in a package of diapers, any brand any size, gets a raffle ticket, then you draw and whoever you choose gets the prize.  I did this for my SIL's baby shower and they got so many diapers.  Also its cool b/c you use all the different brands and can find the one you really like.  Anyway, you have to put a notice in the invite so people know to bring diapers.  Have fun!

  Saxy, I like that idea..........sort of like The Price is Right! I have seen the diaper cakes as well. I've never hosted a baby shower before, so I am sort of at a loss. Have any of you ever heard of a couples baby shower? My friend's husband wants to come as well as my friend's brothers and father. Didn't know if this was something new b/c all the showers I've ever attended have been all females.

  I went to, and drug DH to, a couples baby shower.  He was beyond miserable!  So unless you plan on having alcohol there and some sort of television to watch sports on, I wouldn't recommend it.  Guys just don't oooh and aaah over bibs and diaper genies like girls do. 

  Another game I thought of was a baby themed word scramble.  I found some scrambled words online, I think.  And at a shower I went to everyone got a clothes pin and wore it on their shirt and if they said the word "baby" and someone heard them, that person could take their pin and put it on them, whoever ends the shower with the most clothes pins wins!
