Poll: Christmas Cards

So, do you and DH send out christmas cards? And if so who do you send them too (friends, family, ect)? Do you do picture cards, or just pretty cards? I was just thinking that this is something I might start doing and was hoping for some thoughts/opinions?

We do. Since it's just us and the dog we send out pretty cards that are reflective of our personalities. I love dogs and snowmen, so if a card has one or a combo of both then we'll send those out. DH loves LSU and Barnes and Noble has some cute cards with Tiger Stadium and Santa on them, so we'll probably go that route this year. When we have babies we'll probably do the picture cards so people can see how the kids have grown, but now seems silly to put us and the dog on the card. I send them to family and friends. Immediate family, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

I h ave always sent out xmas card. I think my grandmother has it ingrained in my brain to send cards for everything. I love all things paper. This year, I designed some xmas cards to use with pics of fletcher + then a family pic of us on the inside. I love xmas!

I love sending and getting christmas cards! Last year I did one of the photo cards with a pic of me and DH from the wedding. I did them through www.snapfish.com and people loved how they came out! In fact, some of DH's relatives put the pic in a frame. :-) AND they were pretty reasonably priced. Now I can't wait to start shopping for Christmas cards! Once we cards from other people I like to line them up on the mantle.

good poll! we send out cards to friends and family, but we don't do the picture cards, probably since we don't have kids. we do, however, try to send humorous cards since they are far less common! i guess its time to start looking for them!!

i do some years, but i'm not very consistent about it. definitely not this year, unless the babies arrive early enough to do a photo card with them. otherwise, it'll just be birth announcements sometime after christmas...

This reminded me that I need to do that this year to include our address change... So yes, we've done them in the past and hopefully, with the move, graduation and job search, I'll hopefully find time to do them this year too!!

Hi!!!!! I haven't seen many of you since the NOLA Knot board, but I had to respond to this poll.

Lindsay, as you know, I send Christmas cards every year. I think I've done it since I was in college. This year we're doing a photo one - yes it's just me and the husband and dog, but I just think the photo ones are more fun. I got a few couple ones last year, and people like them. It's fun to see pictures and more personal. Plus, I feel like a picture gets you out of writing a note.....you can't really send a blank card since that's like the neighborhood dry cleaner. With a picture at least you don't have to do a note.

I love the picture ones! I ordered from www.finestationary.com this year. Pricey but I am obsessed with their products for the most part.
