we haven't had one of these in a while. I haven't been able to think of a question.
Where do you grocery shop and why?
We go to WalMart because it's cheaper. I hate their meat, but we always forget to go to winn dixie or sams after we go to Wal Mart.

I am so excited that when the Sav-a-Center's close down they are being replaced by Rouses! We need a few more grocery options on the Westbank and I love Rouses, so I can't wait for the switch. I too, like Whole Foods, but once I bought a bunch grapes for $7 and almost died! I do like that Winn Dixie seems to have more Organic foods too.
I hate wal-mart, and here lately I'm finding it's really beginning to be not that much cheaper than anywhere else. Milk here on the northshore at wal-mart (covington) as of yesterday for the GreatValue brand is $4.27 a gallon. It's actually cheaper...yes I said cheaper to buy the 365 brand at Whole Foods. So I'm much rather buy my milk *if I'm paying that much anyway* with no hormones or antibiotics in it. Fruit and veggies at wholefoods are insane, but I'm with Mary...in the long run it's worth it. So not to sound all hippie self righteous, I've been trying to go to the farmers market and load up on veggies. They are actually WAY cheaper than Wal-Mart and it's helping the local peeps!
Food prices are just getting insane it seems.
