So my sister is pregnant (due Feb. 17) with a little girl. I am throwing a shower for her, but I have absolutely no clue where to start, as the offspring in my family is all boys

Anyone have any theme ideas for a girl?
Also, I need location ideas, preferably Jeff. Parish East Bank. Thanks a bunch ladies!
Re: baby shower ideas
I threw a baby shower in July for my sister and i used pink and brown as my theme. I used cardstock and cut out pink and brown circles. For the cake table i scattered them and got the cutest cake to match. For the other tables i used the circles, but this time i used a larger brown circle in the middle and alternated using the small circles around the big one. On top of the center brown circle i put a plant with pink and brown ribbon around the pot.
I also did a shower for a friend using the duckie theme. It was for a little boy, so we used yellow and blue, but you could just as well use yellow and pink. I put bowls as the table centerpieces with floating rubber ducks and crystal pepples at the bottom. The cake had 2 huge duck cookies on top. It really was cute.
Sorry...i live on the Northshore, so i can't really help with the location ideas.
I found the place to have it first, then got the invitation list and went from there. I used the web to find my invitations because i had the idea that i wanted to use pink and brown. Good luck!
Feb 17 is my anniversary!
Does she have a theme for the baby's room? Maybe you could use that. Do you know someone with a big house that could hold the shower? I think Lafreniere Park has that indoor pavilion, check their price. I don't know how much you want to spend or how mnay people you plan on inviting, but some restaurants may have a banquet room and The Ridgeway (VFW hall) on Metairie Rd. by the Galley was a cheaper wedding place. See how much a shower would cost there....the food is excellent.
