I learned a very important pet lesson today

Let's say your vet prescribes steroids to your poor miserable itchy fur-child.  He warns you that your precious might just experience excessive thirst and urination from the 'roids.  Well don't be like me and ignore this advice or assume that you're in the clear just because precious has been side effect free for 3 days.  Because on the fourth day the side effects will hit your precious fur ball and she will lick every drop from her water bowl and she will pee all over your house (and always on the carpet, not the tile) while you are at work earning money to pay her vet bill.  And you will grumble and gag while you clean up her not so precious stinky cold wet puddles.

The End

  • Aww poor baby (and poor Mommy!). It sounds like maybe a trip to petsmart is in order for your furbaby and a strong stiff drink for you!

  • That sucks all around! I hope your fur baby is feeling less itchy at least... I agree, a drink is in order (you deserve a reward for being a good pet parent!)

  • I DO deserve a drink!  And she's getting her water bowl taken away over night and while I'm at work.  The vet said to just put some ice cubes in there so she can't drink it all at once.

  • OOOOO!! I am so feeling your pain right now!!  We have 2 dogs with tummy issues in this house.  Of course, they sprung up in the middle of the night while I was asleep.  Nothing like waking up to such a pungent odor.  Continued through the day...and our little escape artist managed to exit his cage and leave us 4 piles on the carpet and two on the tile/ wood.  WELCOME HOME!
