Nestie Spotlight: luckycooky

* Names of the newlyweds: Becca and Rich

* When and where they tied the knot: June 13, 2009 in Bismarck, ND* Favorite part of the big day: When my flower girl gave me a card she spent all day working on.  The front was a picture of Rich and I kissing and the inside said "Happy Webbing" (she's 6 and made her d's backwards). * Where do you see yourself in five years? I have no clue.  Hopefully with a little one, working a job that challenges me and makes me feel like I contribute to society, owning a home.  We're still not sure where on the map we will end up but definitely somewhere that allows us to easliy visit family and friends. Ask away!

    How did you guys meet?

What is your favorite type of sandwich?

    On to the questions:

    1. How do you like your eggs?

    2. What's your favorite (alcoholic) drink?

    3. If you could only listen to one cd for the rest of your life, what would it be??

  • What do you do for a living?

    Do you have any siblings?

What was the last movie you saw?

  • Favorite tv show?

You're on a desert island and can only have one food for the rest of your life. What is it?

Your house is on fire. What is the first thing you reach for (barring husbands and pets)?

Where are you both from originally? he is from a small town in northern MN, I am from Bismarck

How did you guys meet? we were both working at JC Penneys and he was considering a transfer to our store.  I walked in on his meeting and introduced myself as the toughest girl he would ever meet.  The ol' Marine was hooked.  We didn't want to date co-workers so we got to know each other for a few months and on my last day he waited for me to walk out and asked for my number.  We've been together since.

What is your favorite type of sandwich?  I could live off of turkey sandwiches.

    2. What's your favorite (alcoholic) drink? I'm a complete wino.  Not a wine snob because I will def. drink the cheap stuff but an absolute wino

    3. If you could only listen to one cd for the rest of your life, what would it be? I am so all over the board with music that it would have to be a mix.  I am a country bumkin but I also like some hip-hop, r&b, rock.  Some of the artists on there would be Kenny Chesney, DMB, Santana, and Metallica

  • How often do you shave your legs in the winter?
  • imagemamie329:

You're on a desert island and can only have one food for the rest of your life. What is it? ripe strawberries.  I can't get enough

Your house is on fire. What is the first thing you reach for (barring husbands and pets)?  there is a picture that my grandfather made out of my grandma's costume jewelry after she passed away.  my grandfather has since passed away so although the actual value is minimal, the sentimental value is beyond priceless

  • If you were on an elevator and you farted....would you pretend that "someone" else farted or fess up?
  • imagemofe:
If you were on an elevator and you farted....would you pretend that "someone" else farted or fess up? Depends on how many other people are on there and who they are.  If it was just me and the VP, they'd probably get an "Excuse me."  Me and a crowd of strangers, the fingers are going every direction

  • What was your major in college?

Do you get butterflies ever when you kiss your H?

    Favorite place to eat?

  • imagemofe:

What was your major in college? Business with a concentration in Marketing

Do you get butterflies ever when you kiss your H? not really butterflies - more of a peaceful feeling.

Favorite place to eat? my grandma's house. (1 grandma passed away, 1 is still with us if you're remembering the post above)  Otherwise, my hometown has a Bob's Big Boy that is not like most others.  It is drive thru only, opens at 10:30 and has pizzaburgers, fries, gravy, fried chicken, hot n tots, frozen cokes, ... Oh I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

I think they're in Mandan. I am not sure, I haven't been to ND since I was 10, but my parents go every year still and I almost positive it's Mandan that they visit.?

    Your job sounds pretty cool!

Do you have a favorite wine? If so, what is it??

    PS-love your music choices!?

Mandan is just across the river from where I grew up! Crazy.

I love most reislings.  There is a white wine called Blue Moon that I am especially fond of.  Reds I drink Menage Trois.  We started drinking it because of the name but it is actually good.  There is also a South African wine that I've found (Robertson something or other) that is good too.  A lot of stores near us do free wine tastings so we go to a lot of those and purchase from there.  Otherwise we look for an interesting name or bottle.

  • That's so cool about Mandan. What a small world! That's about as random of a place as you could pick out on a map.

My mom was born there and grew up there (until she moved to MD in HS) and she just loves it and makes a point to visit every year. It is a beautiful part of the country that a lot of people don't really ever consider. (I remember beautiful black dirt, the hills and all of the black and white cows!) I don't know how you stand the cold though! I am such a wuss, I don't know how you northern ladies do it!

Good to know about the Menage a Trois, I've seen it of course in the stores but I will pick it up next time! :)?

  • Sorry, I feel asleep!

    1. If you had it to do over, would you do anything differently about your wedding?  What?

    2. When was the first time you felt like you were a real grown-up?

    3. Paper or plastic?

  • imageLarkNow:

    Sorry, I feel asleep!

    1. If you had it to do over, would you do anything differently about your wedding?  What? Yes, during the father/daughter dance I had planned to do a slideshow of my father and I over the years as a belated birthday gift.  I didn't get it done and it still bugs me.  I will probably try to do one either for my parent's anniversary next year or his retirement next spring

    2. When was the first time you felt like you were a real grown-up? When I moved out of my parent's house.  I lived at home during college so I was 23 when this happened.  The first thing in my fridge was a 6 pack of corona just because I always felt weird having it at my parents house.

    3. Paper or plastic? paper if I don't have my reusable bags with me

  • Do you have any scars?

Do you make new year resolutions?

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Do you have any scars? Yes, one on my arm after a bike accident and one on my lower back after a surgery

Do you make new year resolutions? Not really.  If I'm going to make a change, it will happen regardless of what the calendar says.
