LA Fitness or Lifetime?
My current gym just cut all of my classes without warning, so I'm on the hunt for a new place. Anyone have experience with LA Fitness or Lifetime? I'm dreading having to sit through their sales pitches, so I'm trying to do some stealth reconaissance first.

I'm going to LA Fitness. I like it, it is new and clean. They have a lot of classes, and you can go to other locations if more than 1 are close by. The classes and gym are not crowded (at least not yet). The negatives: No towel service and no hair dryers.
Make sure you find a coupon before you walk in the door! There are coupons floating around for as low as $25/month. If you walk in w/o a coupon, they will start at $47/month. They need members, they will negotiate.
I was a member at Lifetime and LOVED it! It is very clean and has all the ammenities you could dream of.... it has that "country club" feel! The classes are fantastic.... the only reason that I left is that I couldnt consistently motivate my lazy but to go! It may be more expensive... but definately worth every penny (if you go).
