Re: Happy Monday!
I'm doing good this morning. A little tired because Declan decided 3AM was play time. But 2 cups of coffee perked me up
Our weekend was good! Sat we stayed home and had a lazy day. We kept trying to get Declan to roll over and he'd get almost all the way over and then roll back and laugh at us.
Yesterday we went to pick some pumpkins and Declan loved looking at all the different sizes and colors of pumpkins! So cute!
Good morning. I'm a little tired today but over all I'm good.
Weekend was fun. Two of MH's friends from the military came to visit. I think it made MH appreciate me even more - after they left he kept thanking me for EVERYTHING I do and helping me with all kinds of stuff that I usually do alone. I think their complaints about the single life really got to him...ha.
I wish we could have skipped this weekend.
Friday DH calls me and tells me that MIL called ans said that David is coughing really bad and threw-up. I tell DH to call the pedi (I had a meeting in a few minutes) and to see if it was worth coming in since he has been holding onto this cold for awhile. The only day they had was Friday afternoon or Monday morning. DH takes off and brings David to the dr's. I guess they heard weezing and decide to give him a nebulizer treatment there and gave us a prescription for home.
DH and I get home around the same time. David looks a litle sick but is running around like normal.
Saturday morning, we give David a neb treatment at 8, by 9:45 or so he is breething oddly and DH is like, this isn't normal. I say lets give it a couple of minutes (since David was just running around like crazy). We take him on our bed and then it's getting worse and I can hear him wheezing from 8-10 feet away. I call the Dr's office to ask if we can give him another treatment so close together. I explain the symptoms and she agrees that we need to give him another one NOW and bring him in ASAP. (She scared me because she asked me what color he was and if we needed an ambulance).
So we get to the dr's office by 10:30 and they see us right away. His heart rate is a little fast (side effect of the treatments) but his respiratory rate is 44 (normal is supposed to be in the low 20's). Did I mention that the rate of 44 looked better than what was happening at home? 2 hours in the office + a dose of oral steroids + 2 doses of strong neb treatments and his breathing goes down to 34 and then 24.
The rest of Saturday and Sunday was uneventful (minus giving him the oral steroids and neb treatments). I have to take him back in 2 hours for a follow up visit.
Long story short, it looks like he had an asthma attack like episode caused by the viral infection.
It was good, but long at the same time. Fri, Sat, and Sun nights the girls slept through the night. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I hope this means they will do it more often.
On Fri night I received a vm from my boss. I cannot believe he left in a message that they are eliminating my job and creating a new one. This is what I wanted, but it proves even more what an unprofessional jerk he really is. Who does that? I left a message for his assistant per his instructions to set up some time to talk. And now I am anxious for her to call back so I can talk to him and get the ball rolling.
YAY for the girls sleeping through the night 3 nights in a row! And wasn't this the weekend that Blair was gone?
That is good news about your job since that is what you were hoping for! Hope everything goes well with you chat with him.
