Hi, my husband and I are fairly new to the DFW area and we are looking for someone to make a birthday cake for our daughter's first birthday. We are having a Finding Nemo themed party and want a special cake since she just got out of the hospital a couple weeks ago. She's fine, just refuses to drink, but they had us pretty scared for awhile.
Any recommendations?
TIA!
Janice

Frosted Art can do AMAZING things with cakes if you are more concerned about design. They aren't the best tasting, however.
I you want great taste, Jackie Spratt Cakes is hands down our favorite.
I second this!
Frosted Art did our sculpted grooms cake for the wedding. They turned out great but were expensive.
Jackie Spratt did our wedding cake and it was awesome! It was also the best tasting... but the reason she didn't do our grooms cake was because she told us she doesn't do "themed" cakes and we were hell bend on doing ninja turtles for the grooms cakes.
We used Dee Dee the Cake Lady for both my son's first and second birthdays and the cake was both awesome and yummy! She's very talented and can do whatever you want! I gave her his b-day plate from his first b-day and she totally replicated it! She's reasonable as well, at least I think so, compared to wedding cake shop! Her website is www.ddthecakelady.com. The jungle cake on her site was my son's 1st b-day cake!
