Lesson for the day...

Don't fib/lie.

Dh has been in Iowa filming since last Wednesday. I have been so busy with work and then the yardsale on Sat that I have not cleaned. Well, he called yesterday and asked what I had done all day and I knew he would get mad if I said that I sat and read all day. I told him I had cleaned the kitchen and read.  I totally meant to clean before he came home. I figured I would do it tonight and also clean the rest of the house. Ya well he just called they changed his flight and he gets in earlier. I will have to go straight to the airport after to work and pick him up. Shoot!

Now, what can I make for dinner that's absolutely amazing and he will hopefully forget about the fact that I said that I cleaned the kitchen!

Re: Lesson for the day...

  • LOL, sounds like something that would happen to me.
  • so totally wuld happen to me too!  :-)  sorry!
  • I hate it when that happens!
  • Hahaha! That's too funny Robyn.
  • My question is why on earth would he be mad if you told him you just read? Everyone should have some down time. It's not like you have been sitting at home for days with nothing better to do.

  • He gets frustrated because when I get into a really good book which I am in right now with the Outlander series I become quite obsessed. I tend to neglect the apt, cooking and even my poor dh sometimes. I just can't put the book down. If it is was an occasional pick up a book and relax type of thing then I could understand your point but it's not.

I'm the same way with books. Plus, if my H told me he'd done something and hadn't I'd be mad. It's one thing to just say you didn't do any housework and another to say you did it and then it turns out you lied.

Totally get where you're coming from!

  • If it was the other way around and he had played xbox for 8 hours and done nothing else I would be frustrated.
