Thanks everyone!!! I'm checking my email real quick before we drive back up to Seattle. I am sore sore sore! It's was a great race: perfect weather, lots of people and support. Hands down, Portland is my favorite marathon. I did better than I had hoped, so I am happy with my time. MH hopped in at mile 20 and ran the last 6.2 miles with me, which was awesome b/c I was getting really tired. He wins DH of the year in our household.
I believe Sujen (S&D2HI) ran the race, too. Sujen - how did you do?
That is so sweet that your husband ran the last 6.2 with you!
Congratulations to Sujen as well!!! You guys are amazing!

So sad!
Started out beautifully! Was going at a comfortable pace, ~11:50 min/mi, and felt good! Around mile 9, i started to get this cramp in my left leg. I tried to "shake" it off and keep going but my leg was sooo tense...i kept stopping to stretch it and would try to continue slowly. I finally trudged to mile 16 before telling myself that it wasn't really worth hurting myself in the long run. So I decided to call it quits.
I am still SUPER disappointed in myself =T And keep thinking back to all the things that I shouda/couda/wouda. Hubby ran the race and did great! 4:45 for his first marathon. This was my second, well, i guess its really 1.5?
Still really frustrated about training the last 6 months and not even being able to complete the show. Poopers. Oh well, maybe next time?
Good job Kristianna! Way to rock it ;D
Congrats to both of you! Annasan, awesome job. Sujen, just getting out there is commendable! Especially knowing when to stop, that takes bravery.
All I can say is that I walked 3 miles today and am SO TIRED! SO..... Way to go both of you!

Congrats both of you!! That's awesome! And Sujen, I think you should totally feel proud of yourself for what you did accomplish! Cramps are the worst - it was always my worst fear, because when I cramp up during training, it basically means the end of that workout. There are lots of runners on the H&F board - maybe you can ask how to avoid cramps? I have no idea other than eat a banana or something like that beforehand.
You guys are rockstars. I don't think I could ever run that much!
