A friend of a friend is visiting TO for the first time this January. She is looking for quirky and unique things to do that aren't necessarily in the guide books.
She doesn't drink and isn't into clubs. She does like alternative music so bars that cater to this would be good.
She also likes libraries, book stores and haunted houses. I am going to suggest a tour that goes to haunted places on TO. Any other ideas?
Also, where would you stay and where would you eat?
Re: Toronto information
would she like staying at the gladstone??
?
Nothing is popping into my head right now (it's cold in January so I'm trying to think indoor activities!)
Where is she coming from?
Casa Loma may be fun to check out... I will report back with more ideas once I think about it more, just got home from class, brain is sort of fried right now.
I also was going to recommend a visit to Casaloma.
I have a friend who is a horror writer and goes on ghost hunting/paranormal tours all the time. I can find out some great places from her! She had some very eerie photos on FB!
A friend of mine is having her bday dinner at The Sultan's Tent. It looks kickas$, and would be worth checking out fo sho.
I would suggest Sneaky D's @ college and Bathrurst (roughly) for a great alt music scene.. it has a great breakfast too!
I'll keep thinking of places and let you know...
