Now that the seasons are changing... what does the thermostat read inside your house? I'm sick and it feels cold in here, but I have no idea if it is just because I'm under the weather. BTW - my thermostat reads 70.
Re: Inside House Temp?
holy crap, that is cold! in the fall, where it's not freezing everyday, but it's cool, i keep the thermostat at 74, when it's on at all.
when the freeze rolls in, i keep the thermostat at 69 and wear socks.
I am always cold so I tend to keep our thermostat around 80-82 when its real hot out and just turn it off when the temp outside is between 65-80. DH hates it but he likes how low our electric bill is. If it gets too cold I will let the heat kick on for a few, but usually just get under a blanket or put on sweats.
We are from the Northwest so we are used to the cold though and aren't fans of using the AC
In the fall, 78 and we use ceiling fans to keep it cool.
In the winter, 68 and we wear socks and sweaters. (Although that may change this year with babies, not sure how that works.)
I am always cold so in the summer it is kept around 77-78. In the winter is when we have our 'issues' he wants to keep it at 68 but I refuse because that is just too cold for me. I turn it up to 73-75
This time of the year we don't always have the air on - just use the fans or open some windows.
Right now it's set at 76-78 (unless we have a bunch of people over, then we turn it down). We had it turned off and the windows open some this weekend when it wasn't raining. It was nice!
We have the thermostat turned off right now. Not sure what temp the inside of our house is at right now, but it's comfortable when we are home in the mornings and evenings without the air on.
