Community centers on Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a suspended lawyer who is back in school after his college degree is deemed invalid by the State Bar Association. The show focuses on Jeff's experiences attending fictional "Greendale Community College" in Greendale, Colorado and the people he meets there. John Oliver plays Duncan, a professor at the community college, whom Jeff represented as a lawyer. He also meets a girl, Britta, who is his main love interest in the series, as well as Pierce (Chevy Chase), an aging moist-towelette tycoon who has been married seven times.
Joel McHale, John Oliver and Chevy Chase previously had cameo roles in episode 9 of Water and Power, the short film series produced by Community's series creator Dan Harmon for Channel 101.[3]

I didn't really like the first epsiode. I thought it was a little weird but dh loves McHale so he set it up for the dvr to record it. Since, watching the last 2 episodes I am starting to really like it.
I cant believe I havent even heard of this show
Im definately gonna ahve to check it out
DH and I are also huge Joel McHale Fans. We love the soup. Community is OK. But it not as funny as the new show Modern Family
I just watched the first episode, but decided I didnt like it & removed it from my divo list.
I also wasn't so impressed by his live performance either. I'll just stick to the Joel I know & love from the Soup.

I definitly agree that you should give Community another chance, the last couple of episodes were much better than the pilot. I'm still not quite hooked yet, but I am liking it. I love me some Jole. But it's moving to 8 instead of 9:30, and that's during Bones, so I may have to catch up on the show when Bones starts reruns.
I do need to get on the Glee bandwagon, I know. H would hate the show, so I'll probably wait until its on DVD so I can watch it, when he's not around.
We need a DVR.
I saw Modern Family and I like it, but the I cant stand spanish accents so I dont know how much I can take of that, but I'll keep trying :0)
