girls who have done weight watchers
I recently signed up for WW at work, I've done it before and have been successful with it, so hopefully this time I'll do well. But the times I've been really successful with it were before DH so my eating habit were a little different (he just isn't happy with a turkey burger/salad, eggs or a Lean Cusine for dinner just about every night). To those of you how have done it recently what are some dinner idea that are easy, point friendly and you DH would eat?
Thanks!
Re: girls who have done weight watchers
I am not on WW, but my mom is. She has lost 60 pounds since starting in March, my dad (unknowingly) has lost 18 pounds. My dad is the type of person who flat out refuses to eat fat free or low fat things. My mom just makes her normal dishes and substitues with lower fat products where she can. For instance, when she makes chicken parmesan she uses leaner chicken, egg beaters, fat free cheese, low fat spaghetti sauce, and whole grain noodles.
Instead of fries, she just roasts cut up potatoes and salts them.
My dad doesnt complain because he mostly doesnt realize he is eating better. Like I said, at his last checkup he lost 18 pounds.
Good luck!

I'm still sllloooowwwllly on WW. Eventually I'll get to my goal! lol
DH does all of the cooking so I was a little concerned about that and him using extra oil or fat, etc... when cooking but what I found the secret was is portion sizes. I would just weigh and measure everything. DH doesn't venture too much into the world of recipes (we normally just eat for dinner a salad, meat, starch and veggie) but I had to be sure that I was diligent in only eating 3 or 4oz. of the meat, 1/2 cup starch...sometimes I slack on that now but I really think that was my key.
Have fun doing the WW at work. Who is your leader? They just started a meeting out in Innovation Park. I'm still going to the center for meetings but that's pretty much due to my shift at work. When I move to dayshift, I'll probably start to go to the at work meetings instead.
And Good Luck! I'm sure you'll do great!
Thanks for your help girls, that ziti sounds so good (and I know DH would eat that).
Monica--my leader is Tricia, we meet on Tuesdays at James Elliott over lunch if you want to join ours, but I guess its far from your building. Good luck with getting to your goal!!!
