I was feeling super lazy so I stopped at Whole Foods and grabbed a pizza to heat up, and some chocolate chip cookies for dessert!
Re: What is for dinner?
bisquick chicken and rice pilaf.
(3/4 C bisquick, 1/4 C Parm Cheese, mixed together. dip chicken in evaporated milk, then coat in bisquick/cheese mix. place in glass baking dish, drizzle 1/4 C melted butter over the chicken. bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked).
I made chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese with bacon
DH made dinner last night, which was really sweet, because I'm coming down with a cold and really didn't want to cook, but... we need to work on his cooking. We had pan-fried tilapia (no flavor), roasted sweet potatoes (he slipped when drizzling the olive oil) and steamed asparagus. Normally he's good at these things, but he threw it together last minute and didn't really pay attention- he originally wanted to make some Ethiopian spinach, but thought that combining 8 spices (all of which we have) together with spinach and lemon juice was too much effort.
To which I say, !?!?!??
But he also refuses to make any cakes (he likes to bake simple, 1-layer cakes) that require you to cream butter, "that's too much work". We have a stand mixer. It doesn't make sense. He's hilarious sometimes.?
