MIL sent me a sweater-jacket from LL Bean for my birthday. I really like it and I was just thinking that I needed a new sweatshirt, but it is maroon. And I'm not a pink girl.
I would wear it all the time if it was in a color I usually wear, but I wouldn't wear the maroon one much. Do you think it is okay to exchange it?

Here is a link to the sweater and she picked dark Mulberry. It isn't a bad color, but I like the navy blue a lot better and it would go with more of my clothes.
I'm so much like a guy when it comes to clothes; I wear a lot of blues, greens, browns, and gray/blacks.
It's perfectly fine to exchange it.
Ah, I do see what you're saying about it being a bit too pinkish, at least the way it's coming across on my screen. Cute little jacket though, and kudos to your MIL for picking something you would actually wear! Enjoy the blue!
I am actually wearing an LL Bean dark mulberry zip up fleece that my mother-in-law gave me right this very minute!
If you're not going to wear it, I think it's more that fine to exchange it for a color you like better. I'm sure she wouldn't want you to shove it in your closet and not wear it when you could be enjoying the gift in a different color!
