cake - taro, coconut, mango, white choco
Hi everyone! Wow, I miss this place :-) Wonder if I can find fellow Knotties from my year..
We left the US for my work abroad after our wedding. This year is our 5th and my parents' 50th. I want to work with someone who can make a cake just like our wedding cake, as our cake maker is on holiday for a short while.
It was layers of taro and coconut flavours, with mango frosting(?) ganache(?) etc, with white chocolate. Was a HUGE hit with our guests. Wondering if anyone has any ideas of pastry chefs in NYC area who can do a cake like this? We don't need a fancy wedding cake, but we would love to do something a little bit festive wiht it.
Any ideas for someone who can do this? I am not opposed to amateurs as they tend to be fun to work with.
