I think there was recently a Halloween post (other than the MsWildCat's amazing censored costume thread), but I was bored and just wondering what everyone's doing. I think I have to dress up for a harvest/Halloween party at my school next Friday night (which is an awesome time to make the staff come back to work, obviously). I'm thinking about being boring and just being a cat or something easy because we're not going to any other Halloween parties aaand I need something appropriate for school. What's everyone else doing?[Poll]

I really want an excuse to buy this:
(It's the Hot Topic licensed replica of Bella Swan's birthday dress from the opening of New Moon)
BUT, I know hell will freeze before my DH will dress up as a Twilight character with me. Plus, I'm going to be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, I don't think anyone (obsessive fans like me aside) will even GET the reference, since Halloween is almost a month before the movie comes out. *sigh*
I'm kind wondering if DH would be willing to do a Super Mario theme -- we could rock a pretty adorable Mario and Peach.
SBS-you have to get that dress!
I think you could talk your DH into going as Hunter Thompson from Fear and Loathing and you could wear this dress and you could both be literary characters.?
PS-I am possibly dressing up, depending on the mood my kids are in. Last year, my daughter was kind of freaked out by all the weird people walking around our neighborhood so I don't want to add to that for her.
I will either be:
a variation of the Wicked Witch
a variation of the Good Witch (thinking I can re-use my wedding dress)
or a hillbilly with a mullet, which I think will be hilarious.?
We have a party to go to next weekend and they always have a theme. This year it is music genres. So we can dress up as musicians or fans from any era we like or don't like. DH and I have no clue yet what we will go as. We need to figure it out soon. Any ideas?
SBS-You so NEED that dress!

The annual Huntsville Young Professionals Halloween Party is happening on the top of the downtown parking garage...just like last year...but honestly, it wasn't amazing last year.
I told H that I'd really be fine staying home and handing out candy and not really doing much. I don't know why, but I have no interest in dressing up and going out for Halloween this year...maybe because we've been out of town...every. freaking. weekend.
If we stay at home and hand out candy, the only one of us dressing up will be the Camster in her purple monkey costume.
