easy chilli receipe

Hey Ladies,

I wanted to make some chilli to freeze so we have some during the colder months. Any of you ladies have an easy receipe I can use and do over the weekend?

 TIA

Re: easy chilli receipe

  • I just realized mine isn't in my blog, I am actually making it right now.

    1 onion, chopped

    4 celery stocks, chopped

    1 red pepper, chopped

    1 green pepper, chopped

    ground beef

    5 mushrooms, sliced

    1 can of diced tomatoes

    1 jar of pasta sauce

1.5 cans of red kidney beans

    2 cans of brown beans

    3 tablespoons of chili powder

    2 tablespoons of cayene pepper

    salt and pepper

    hot sauce

Add ground beef to a poot and begin to brown.

Add all the veggies  and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of eat chili powder and cayene pepper.

Add diced tomatoes and a dash of hot sauce, cook for 10 minutes.

Add pasta sauce and cook for 10 minutes.

Add all the beans and lower heat to low. Cook for 1 hour.

Add remaining seasonings and mushrooms. Cook for another 2-3 hours.

  • I usually make mine in the crockpot, but you could probably easily adapt it to make stovetop as well.

Sautee ground beef, and if you like, onions, until the ground beef is cooked.

Put the ground beef, sliced mushrooms, a can of tomato sauce, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of beans, and maybe a can of tomato paste into the crockpot. Add garlic, chili powder, or, a package of slow cooker chili seasoning. Turn on and go to work.
