asking this especially since I have 3 kids already but here goes
DH and I have been TTC since August. The last 2 weeks of September I felt some pregnancy symptoms (tender boobs, a lil nausea, tiredness) well I was suppose to start my period Saturday and I am always dead on with my start date well Saturday I didnt start but I felt horrible achy body and ears so I figure it was the flu and I ended up starting Sunday and it was really light till Monday night then it got heavy then it was gone Tuesday night.
DH thinks I'm pregnant and just had a light period with my pregnancy I took a test the Thursay before my period and it was negative then the whole period thing on Sunday confirmed it for me, ok so my question is have any of you ever had a period with your pregnancy? I guess I know the only way to tell is to take another test but I jsut get so dissapointed when I take a test and its negative and I know we've only been trying for 2 months but we have wanted to have a baby for a good 5 years now we just decided to buy a house and get married first so thats probably why I'm so impatient.
Auughh ok so my question turned into a long rant sorry....
Re: I feel kinda silly
You're allowed to rant
It sounds like you tested a bit early so who knows. The bleeding may have been break through bleeding. It didn't happen to me, but I've heard of several people who had their period for a few months during pregnancy.
Yes ma'am. It's very possible. Seeing that it was light it is possible. Could have been implantation bleeding:
Implantation bleeding is lighter than menstrual bleeding, and consists of pink or brown colored blood. Implantation bleeding occurs when the trophoblast, or tissue that surrounds the egg, attaches to the endometrium and slowly eats its way into the lining. As it does so, it eats through the mother's blood vessels, forming blood lakes within itself. When these blood lakes form near the surface of the trophoblast, they often cause implantation bleeding.
Remember, the difference between period and implantation bleeding is the amount; implantation bleeding is considerably lighter than menstrual bleeding. Menses and implantation bleeding should be different enough so that you can tell. Here are some frequently asked questions about spotting:
When does implantation bleeding occur? Usually 5-12 days after ovulation, so just around the time that you would be getting your period. Bleeding during ovulation is something different. What does implantation bleeding look like? Implantation bleeding signs are a light pink or brown colored spotting. How long does implantation bleeding last? The duration varies for each woman.

I had some spotting for 2 days before my period was supposed to start...I assumed it was just "regular" spotting since it's something that happened every month. Since we had stopped trying, it never occurred to me I was pg until 4 days later and I realized I was late. I tested and it was positive.
I'd go ahead and test again.
I swear I just get so dissapointed when its negative then I feel quilty for feeling dissapointed cuz I think how many people are wanting to get pregnant with just one and here im biotching about my getting pergnant with a fourth.
I have had so much stress at work and at home, the wedding set us back quit a bit of $ plus it drained all savings and step sons mom offers no $ help at all ever. So Im thinking maybe my period was a bit irregular due to stress.
I will stop and buy a test on the way home tonight though and I will let you girls know what happens :0)
Thank you!
I am trying hard not to be snarky, but please be aware of your audience here. I understand impatience when it comes to TTC, but 2 months isn't long at all, especially compared to some ladies here who have been trying for a LONG time. (As you can tell, I am sensitive about this kind of stuff, and I am really not trying to start drama.)
That said, the only way to know is to test again. It would be positive by now if you are pregnant. Good luck to you. After seeing what seems like a million negative pregnancy tests over many many months, I know it can be upsetting.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
and yes I plan on stoppping to get a test tonight on my way home from work :0)
I really think a negative test when you're hoping for a positive is disappointing at any stage. I can totally understand where your coming from.
I'm glad you're going to test again. That's what I was going to suggest. Let us know.
Also...it very well could've been a delayed period due to stress. Think about how much more closely you're monitoring your period right now since you are trying. You're reading into everything. Be prepared for a negative. But good luck!!
Thanks girls for the good luck wishes :0)
I will definatley let you ladies know
This.
I bawled when we weren't even trying, and my test read negative. I really wish TTC wasn't so challenging for couples (on & off the board).
Good luck!
