Mom's Bday is today- what to buy?
Okay,
My mom is over six feet tall and I have no clue what to get her for her birthday. She does sew so I definitely want to get her a gift card to a fabric store but what else?
purse? earrings? cologne? Any original gift ideas?

Take her to get a manicure, see a movie, go paint some pottery together...
My parents would rather do something with me and spend time than have a gift that sits and collects dust (b/c really they have everything).
Does your mom like to wear jewelry? If so, get her something from Tiffany's?
I agree with the pp, maybe do something together. I don't know if you're mom is anything like mine, but my mother never buys anything for herself and I mean never. You could take her to lunch and then out shopping for a new sweater or something.
You can also get her a nice planted flower with the gift certificate to the fabric store. The mums this year are just gorgeous!
