  • LOL haha yeah totally weird.  At least I'm in TO not Hamilton/Oakville. One of us is going to have to leave! (me?) I have been looking for an excuse for a long time... spend too much time on here :P

I'm off work today so I'm not totally slacking.. well I'm slacking but not from doing my day job, I should be painting the living room!

Also weird because we're both UWaterloo grads... I almost took Chem! Is your DH from UW too? I met my DH on co-op, he is a U of Windsor electrical engineering grad.

What Masters are you doing? That is good you can do it part time, are you working too? I'm still debating doing a masters, sigh!

We're not the same person though (ha), here are some wedding pics of us:

  • btw I graduated in 2005
  • Yeah, I'm slacking at work today.

I'm doing my masters in Mech Eng at Mac part time.  My old boss made an advanced degree a requirement to get to a certain level in order to make it so the company had to pay.  Which is good.  I'm having some issues getting back into the swing of things, since I just had a solid 8 months off.

I'm taking my last class now though (with my old boss as the prof) so only a bit more to go (plus that pesky thesis).

Derek and I met at UW, but he was in Physics.  Then in Science, then in Arts.  Then he switched to Arts at Trent (he's from the Peterborough area) and now he's just slowly working towards his degree taking online classes.

I graduated '07.  You were in SySE, right?   Were you A stream or B?  Involved in EngSoc at all?  I was VP-Int for a little while there.  And I worked in the C&D, but not until '06 I think.

  • Stream B? I had my first co-op after 4 months that's stream B right? so I had to 2 terms back to back at the end, sept 04 - apr 05. My last year most of my time was either spent in class, in the SYDE lab (across from the C&D), the SYDE workshop (also across from the C&D), the stinky SYDE 4th year room, the DP library and my apartment. I did go to the batch parties and BOT, MOT etc. I would probably recognize you (or at least maybe at the time) but who knows! Laura Mooney (eng soc prez) was in my class.

I'm going to go painting, then perhaps my reward will be a pumpkin spice latte! I think I will almost be ready for "after" shots of my living room / dining room today!
