Where to find a gold sequin dress?
I need a gold sequin dress or something really flashy like that for my halloween costume. I am going to check goodwill, but any other ideas? I don't really want to spend that much on it. Any ideas?

The only other suggestion I have (and you have probably thought of this) is a costume shop. That could easily get pricey but I suppose it's worth a try.
Are you at all crafty? I'm sure you could get some gold material at a fabric shop and throw together a dress. Well, I'm sure someone could but if it was me, there would be no way.
I found the costume online, but I always hate how cheap looking store bought costumes are, especially since they are usually pretty pricey. I found one with the wig so I might just order it.
Otherwise, I think DH's aunt could make one for me. Thanks!
If you aren't that crafty you may still be able to pull one off. I'd check out JoAnns and find some gold material and just go toga style with safty pins and tape. That might be an easy fix and then you don't have to get your DH's aunt involved. Which when I first read that I thought it said you'd get your DH to sew it and I thought, man she's got a great catch there if he can sew! haha then I re-read it. haha

What is your costume? You should try a dance costume catelog...like kellecompany.com There are LOTS of flashy outfits and usually fairly inexpensively priced. (Although I am unsure of your budget) Also, if you do find someone who can tailor something for you, there is a store in Covington called the Theater House. They have a huge range of very flashy fabrics. They also have costumes, so maybe you can find something premade. They have a website too...theatrehouse.com
