Sunstone Yoga?

I'm a yoga novice and thinking of trying this place.  Anyone have any experience there, good or bad?  Any other place you would recommend in North Dallas/Richardson area?

Thanks!

Re: Sunstone Yoga?

  • I really like American Power Yoga. They have a couple locations. The 2 I know of are in Dallas and in Richardson. The one in Dallas is by Mockingbird station. The richardson location is at Coit and Arapaho I believe.

I wish I had the time to go more or lived closer to it! I really enjoyed the couple classes I went to.

  • I have been going to Sunstone for about 2 1/2 years and I love it.  I went to the north dallas and preston and forest studios when I lived in addison, and I know I go to the Frisco studio, I have never had a bad experience, I wasn't sure how I would feel about the heat, but I love that as well.  I actually just got home from a yoga class, and I feel great! You should check out the 10 days for $10 to see if you like it. Let me know how you like it if you decide to check it out!

  • I have wanted to try this... there is a sunstone studio within walking distance from my office in Frisco, and one super close to our apt in Addison... I was totally on board until I saw how much it cost...

The 10 days for $10 is a great deal though, maybe when work calms down a bit I will give it a shot!

  • I'll definitely look into the 10 days for $10 deal.  Thanks girls!

  • I pay $89 a month, but I also go almost every day, so if you add it up, it is a good deal.  The more you go the less you pay, which is part of my motivation to go everyday.  If you are a member of a gym, the usually have yoga classes as well.  I go to 24 hour, and I know they have classes there, so you might check that out!

  • Little late, but I used to go to Sunstone. When I started I was super excited about it and loved it. I went everyday. EVERYDAY. I think I burnt myself out on it because I started going less and less. Eventually I realized that unless I started going more offten it wasn't worth the price I was paying for my occasional visits. I think about rejoining alot. I really did like it. I just need to find some motivation. Or a buddy to go with. Or something. lol

I'm glad to hear you liked it.  It's been hard for me to keep the motivation to go to the gym when in the past, but having a buddy always helps.  If you decide to rejoin and want to go to the Addison or Richardson location let me know!
