I'm so glad this week is over! What are you up to this weekend?
We're headed down to CT later tonight, I'm getting a pedicure with my mom tomorrow morning, then DH and I are taking her out to lunch for her birthday. We have a wedding tomorrow night. Sunday we're going to FIL & SMILs to spend time with them. DH's little sister will be 3 this month (and it will be her first birthday celebrated with us as her family since she was just adopted early in the summer) so we're going to celebrate that. We have Monday off from work so we'll be driving back up here and hopefully just relaxing around the apartment.

TGIF! This weekend is not looking particularly thrilling... hopefully I'll get over this cold I've been battling.
Hopefully convincing my husband to eat dinner out... tomorrow, major house cleanup & then going to a friend's for a get-together.
Sunday, football & hopefully meeting my uncle's newly adopted puppy.
I have to work on Monday
Husband has it off and I'm sure I'll hear him gloat!

We picked up a new foster pup this weekend, so we're all settling in together and having a low-key weekend. Dinner at my mom's on Saturday night, pumpkin carving at some point... That's really all we have going on.

I'm going to a bday party for my friend tonight at a mexican restaurant. Should be a lot of fun! Tomorrow night we are having another couple over for dinner and Sunday is the Taste of Chas so we are doing that with neighbor couple we are friendly with!
DH has a cold, so he's probably in for tonight and tomorrow. Hoping he feels better by Sunday because I bought his ticket already!

Tomorrow I think I'm going to meet my friend's new little baby finally!! She's a month old already.. I'm so excited! Hopefully it will work out that we can go then haha.
Otherwise nothing big planned.. other than hounding DH about folding his laundry. Before our guests came over labor day we had a ton of laundry to clean so we divided it up and each did our own, except DH never did his. And he just keeps piling it all up. It's like two months of laundry at this point, and I'm ready to scream! But I am way too stubborn to do it for him hahaha.
I'm just crossing my fingers that my boss will let us out of here early today... I could use for a nice nap..
Tonight we're having friends come over to chill, then tomorrow I'm having lunch with an old work friend, and getting some shopping done. Sunday I might go into Harvard Square, and Monday MAYBE King Richard's Faire.
If neither Sunday or Monday happen, it will be spent on wedding thank you notes and finally going through everything and hopefully finally getting some order around the house post-wedding.
TGIF!?
Our original plans were to make a nice dinner tonight, spend all of tomorrow unpacking from our move (in August), and unpack/clean Sunday and go up to Nashoba winery for the afternoon. But now I'm sick, and I might not last the day at work, so we'll probably order a pizza tonight and unpack and clean all weekend, interspersed with some naps for me. DH's best man is coming to stay with us for a couple nights next week, and we need to clear out the guest room so he has a place to sleep!
Today is my dad's birthday so we're having dinner at my parents' house later.
Tomorrow I'm going shopping! I can't wait. I have bday GCs to spend and I need to get house stuff like curtain rods.
Sunday is a normal day of groceries and cleaning.
Sounds like no one has big long weekend plans. We don't either, since DH has to work on Monday.
We're gonna go for a drive west tomorrow to do some leaf peeping and most of my family is tagging along. Not the small, intimate trip I originally had planned, but oh well.
Volleyball again on Sunday.
Yes, TGIF! I have been cleaning all week in preparation for the in-law's arrival tonight. SIL is bringing her 3 kids under 5 so I've been trying to babyproof as much as I can too, probably unsuccessfully. We're spending the weekend with them doing fall New England-y things, I can't wait!

Our kittens are being spayed tomorrow so most of the weekend will be spent trying to making them feel better. I feel awful having to drop them off tomorrow
but I know it's for the best. I just hope the recovery isn't too bad. I've never had female cats before.
Other than that, just relaxing around the apartment. Definitely a quiet weekend. Sad to not have Monday off!
They'll be ok! Just tired and a little loopy after the surgery. No excessive playing or jumping at first and they should be good as new in a couple days!
Make sure to check their incision sites. We adopted our female cat a couple days after she was spayed and within those days developed an infection (she was red around the incision site). Fortunately the foster parents had already noticed and had antibiotics for us.

They are definitely going to be pampered and spoiled afterwards for sure.
Question- someone told me to remove the kitty litter from their box and just line the box with newspaper for the first few days- is that true? I am sure the vet will go over everything tomorrow but I don't remember my mom doing this for her cat.
I'm pretty sure this is recommended so that litter doesn't infect/ mix into the incision sites. Good luck to you & the kitties!
