Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Mamie, that's what I'm guessing based on the description in that other thread -- they were contacted by The Nest to be featured in the magazine, and that included their home address being printed...or something?
I still haven't gotten my free copy. *harumph*.

I grabbed my copy and it's on page 50, with screen names and street addresses. It doesn't list their cities or states but I know a lot of people (me included) have that info right there online, under our screen names. Holy shiit. I would be PISSED.
ETA: I removed the city from under my s/n. That just kills me that they would put people's addresses in print.

I also took note on the firing. Wondering how it came down on whom to fire though. The magazine has to be proof read several times before printed, right?
One would think but sure enough, Nest Caitlin's user account has been deactivated. I hope that the editors were reprimanded for it too. It's just irresponsible you know?
