Looks like it got deleted?
Clearly that owner was pissed that a negative review was posted, but that's not fair--we are allowed to post negative reviews. That's the RULES.
Brummy, thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry for your friend, the bride. I had a great experience at a work event for the Manner House, but as with any reception venue, there are always mixed reviews--WHICH DESERVE TO BE HEARD.
Manner house owner, you actually called more attention to this event than would have happened. Way to go.
Re: Manner House post gone?
Boo.
It's gone from the Knot side, too.
ridiculous. how is anyone supposed to make an educated decision about parties and events if you can't post positive and negative???
i thought the rules changed?
They did.
The ONLY things I can think of are (a) an overzealous mod here, but since it was also deleted on the Knot side, and I can't see D doing it, that doesn't make sense, or (b) that since Brummy wasn't the actual bride one of the "gods" deleted it.

Oh, well... we all will remember and give the information we have when someone posts and asks about it. Seriously...thenest/theknot is NOT a reliable resource if they don't allow honest reviews of places. I've said to someone before, you don't want to tick off a bride from theknot/the nest because word moves quick!
ETA: Plus, if we really wanted to we could smear the information all over facebook, which would most likely have a larger impact on the company. People can say anything they want on facebook.

I remember what happened with yours, and I always cringe a little bit when someone says they're thinking about using them....
Are you thinking of the vendor I didn't use? They gave me fits, had their lawyer threaten me, and eventually refunded all of my money, but they didn't stalk me on the Knot. It was another vendor, a very popular one, who went crazy when I asked a question. I am surprised that really bad vendor is still in business. Not so bad but overly sensitive vendor is good at what they do. However, they really turned me off of ever recommending them once I knew they stalked the Knot and flipped out over any comment that wasn't a glowing review.
God, I'm glad my wedding planning days are far behind me!!
Ds, I had a similar experience with a vendor-and this vendor also threatened me with a lawyer AFTER my wedding b/c of a review I gave about them-which they told me I was lying...how/why would I lie with proof?! (maybe its the same vendor haha!)
That was someone else.
