This sometimes seems to get some conversation going, so I thought I'd start it.
What's running through your mind today?
Re: Monday's Random Thoughts
Should I trust the people at that salon next to my grocery store with waxing my eyebrows? I can't be bothered to drive all the way across town for a meager eyebrow wax.
'Nuff said. LOL
From their point of view there may be something else wrong and want to make sure that's really what's going on.
From your point of view so they can charge you for an exam fee instead of just charging for medicine.
It annoys me that I had other random thoughts and they all seem to have escaped without me finishing them.
Also, I can't find new dinnerware that I like. I'll find something I like, but am not willing to pay the ridiculous price. I really want something durable, but then durable looks like crap.
Oh, and I'm tired of hearing people whine about snow. It's Wisconsin, people. It's rare, but not unheard of.
I would say "Sure there could be something else wrong" but my cat gets a UTI every 10 months like clockwork. She's had all the tests done to make sure she doesn't have anything else wrong. The other vet (an hour away) said to me "Oh, we remember her. We can just give you the meds but we'd like to do a checkup since we haven't seen her in over a year if that's ok." (that one I understand - they always check her ears and weigh her and such so I agreed to it). As for the dog, the other vet hasn't ever seen him so they have to check him but the last time he had ear mites (yup, had them once this year) she told us "If they come back just call and I'll give you the meds." When I called, the receptionist said "No, you'll have to bring him in...I know the vet said that but you'll have to bring him in." Sigh.
ETA: I'd pay the exam fee even if all they did was hand me the meds and never even looked at my pets...I just want them well and they are both miserable right now.
why do men bother getting married.
On the topic of dogs I really need to get Jake and Maggie's nails trimmed. The new hardwood floor they click so much! Drives me crazy. I wish I had a trimmer that was strong enough for me to do them at home. Their nails are just so strong and it's not easy to contain a 100lb dog and do their nails.
That was pretty random...sometimes I wonder this too though.
I HATE to trim the dogs' nails! I just have the vet do it when I go now because it's so much easier for them to control them.
I was thinking of this for tomorrow, but my CW is leaving (her daughter's home sick with a really bad headache, fever, and coughing and she was going to leave at 2 to take her to the Dr. Now she's claiming she has a really bad headache and is going home too.)
I'll be pissed if this compromises me calling in tomorrow. I have a headache too... but I'm here.
ETA: The headache is called Monday workday. It's pretty common.
Agreed. The vet tech said Xena now knows the routine: she goes in, she lays on her side, they do her nails, she gets a treat and she's happy.
I'm hungry and have no clue what to have for lunch.
