Morning, yo

I'm trying to ignore the crappy weather right now.  How was everyone's weekend?

  • Morning!

Ours was good.  Friday friends came over for lasagna.  Saturday we spent the afternoon in Natchitoches and yesterday we just worked around the house.  I made my own roman shades and it looks like they're going to work!  Now if DH would just put the dang door up that they're going to go on I could find out!

  • Ours was pretty good. Got some Christmas shopping done at the mall (starting early) and on Sunday, went to NOLA to visit family and have brunch with friends!

My friend had her baby on Saturday too (3 weeks early)...I really need to finish her baby cross-stitch sampler ASAP!

It would have been an even awesomer weekend had LSU won!

  • Our weekend was crappy. I'm sick, going to the doctor today. My husband isn't feeling great and I think the boys are getting sick now too. :(

We did nothing but lounge around.

=(  I can imagine that the only thing worse than being sick is being sick and having to take care of not one but two sick babies.  Let me know if you need anything!

  • Mine was good. Saturday we drove to John's grandparents and met up with his brother, sister in law, and our niece for lunch. John had to work that evening (show closed so he had to strike the set). Yesterday we went shopping in DE (NO SALES TAX!), then came home and did laundry and vegged.

  • I forgot we had an adventure on Saturday on the way to his grandparent's. We were driving down a back country road and saw a small dog walking on the side towards us. I went "ohhhhh" and John said "turn around". So we did and we picked up this little jack russel mix, he had a great disposition, but was filthy and had a few imbedded ticks on him. We have no idea where we are, except Southern PA, so John starts searching and calling. Finally we get on the phone with a Petco and she suggests we call the SPCA. I don't know why we didn't think of this.
We called the SPCA and gave them our info and got directions. When we got there they had already started the paperwork and were ready for him. It was also a great facility and had TONS of volunteers helping out. About an hour after we picked him up, Rigoletto (you know I named him) was dropped off to start his adoption process and clean up.
It was so hard for us to give him up, but I think my in laws would have kicked us out and we couldn't resposibly bring him home to our 4 other rescues without having him checked out first. It was also hard leaving there when everyone is staring at you, giving you the side eye since you aren't taking an animal with you. I wanted a sign that said "I HAVE 4 RESCUES AT HOME!"

I wish it was here, I would have taken him! I love jack russels. I would have had a hard time leaving him behind too, I am sure he will get a good, happy home!
