How was your weekend?

Ours was pretty good! Kinda chill.

Fri night; just went home and hung out.

Sat; grocery shopping, cleaning, made a crock pot meal, took a nap, got ready for the ballet, went to see ABT perform in Lincoln Center - it was awesome! Went home.

Sun; more cleaning and watching my fave morning programs. DH went in to the city to catch the beginning of the Red Sox game before going to see a one act a friend directed in a series of one acts. I stayed home with the cleaning, went for a walk, got Burger King for lunch, took a nap, he came home and was pretty upset that the Sox got swept Tongue Tied, we watched the Pats game and he got upset that they lost...so i suggested we watch some stuff that would make us laugh and smile! So we hooked our computer up to the tv and caught up on Modern Family and Cougartown; just what the doctor ordered! Then we went to bed. And i slept pretty terribly. Sad

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Friday night we went out for hibachi for DH's birthday, then went home and chilled.

Saturday - we went and got sample bottles of paint so we can decide what color we're painting our bedroom.  Then we went out to eat with my folks, then hung out around the apartment.

Sunday - we did laundry at the ILs and went to Ralph's Ices for their last day of the season. (mmmmm. :::insert droolly face here:::)

ETA: we just discovered Modern Family this week, that show is hysterical!

  • I LOVE Modern Family!  By far my FAVE new show of the fall!

My weekend was a serious test of endurance.  On Saturday, I woke up at 5:45, was out by 6:45, at yoga teacher training from 8:00 - 6:00, came home, drove out to Sayville and performed at a wedding at 9:30.  In bed by 12:30, which sucked because I had to wake up on Sunday at 5:45 again for another full day of yoga teacher training.  Then I drove out to Brooklyn to dance at Christine's (from EAP) dad's bday party.

20 hours of yoga + 2 bellydance performances = serious fatigue

And I have never been so sore!! OMG, I can barely lift my arms to bring my coffee to my mouth!

But I absolutely loved my yoga training!  I am signing up for the next level in November - I have decided I want to do my 200 hours and become a registered yoga trainer.  I <3 yoga.

  • Mine was good and a bit tiring. Friday night, worked with my youth group and shuttled my little sister and cousin-in-law home.

On Saturday, I helped DH prepare for his work trip upstate to Farmland where he had to learn about agriculture and locally grown produce. I should win a wifey award because not only did I pack DH's luggage (including warm socks and even his spare toothbrush), but I cleaned off some rubber boots that were just filthy! Since he had no time between working, he was grateful! Smile

Then, we drove to the city to pick up his co-worker who stayed with us overnight so they could leave early in the morning. The guy is nice, and it was actually a nice arrangement. (And I certainly didn't cook with two chefs in the house), we went out for Jamaican take-out!

It's funny, although DH returns tonight (only gone for a day), I'm really missing him. Tongue Tied

  • Modern Family is fantastic!!

Friday, we went to pumpkin patch with the kiddo (DH took a day off work). It was my first trip ever and it was so fun! When we got back, DH worked on insulating the balcony (we had it closed off last year)

Saturday, I went over to my parents house with Sasha to hang out and work on a few dresses that needed to be altered a bit (my mom has a sewing machine and I still haven't gotten mine). DH worked on the balcony some more.

Sunday, I got to sleep in and DH got up with Sasha which was awesome (even though he whined about being tired for a while). In the afternoon, DH went to pick up his parents at the airport (they were in Spain for a week), brought them by our place and we had lunch with them. Then we headed off to Babies R Us for some diapers and other much needed stuff (I got DD a swimsuit for $4, does it really matter that it's for when she's 3? I don't think so Angel)

  • Lisichka, I love that pic of Sasha. Awh!

The truth: I can't remember what my weekend was like...wait...it's kinda coming back to me.

    Fri night: home chilling

Sat: DH and I went for brunch at a Trinidadian restaurant in Richmond Hill, then we went looking for kitchen cabinets at a local store and at IKEA. We went with the local store which had the same cabinets at a lower price and made with real wood. That took the whole day.

Sun: I finally made it to church, then cooked, got a mani etc.

Today: 1st day at my new job. DH slept late and was home to pick up the rest of our windows. Exciting!
