... and, it snuck up on me. I need to engage my creative brain, but it is tapped out. If your brain is working, please send some ideas and energy my way.
Our original idea was to always go to Hawaii for our anniversary. This year, it works out much better to go for the week around Thanksgiving.
So... we're here in rainy, cold Seattle on Saturday for our anniversary.
I'm trying to think of a cozy, sexy way to set up the house. I have time, b/c H is out of town until Friday evening.
My 7 year old daughter is with me on the weekdays and with my exH this weekend. H and I will have the house to ourselves Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
It could be amazing... if only I could think of what to do.
It would be funny to put tiki torches along the driveway, so when he drives back from the airport on Friday he'll be surprised... and thinking of Hawaii. Funny, the Hawaii spirit has shown itself by sending blooms to our hibiscus even though it is 40-50 degrees.
We have a Hawaii General Store in Seattle, where I plan to get a few things.
I need a vision! ... and a plan
If you have any piece of that, share your thoughts.

Re: 2 Year Anniversary on Saturday!
I have no creative ideas since my brain is not working right today, but I just wanted to chime in and wish you an early happy anniversary!
I do like your idea of lining the tiki torches on the driveway, that would make a fun entrance to a fun night ahead!

happy almost anniversary-wow how time flies.
some nice scented candles-pineapple, plumeria, coconut-you get the idea-
perhaps pick up a grass skirt and greet your hubby at the door wearing a grass skirt and loads of leis to somewhat cover the girls and a mai tai in hand
There's a Hawaii General Store in Seattle? I'll have to google that for next time I visit DH
Sorry but I don't have anything amazing to contribute... But Uwajimaya has stuff to make Kalua Pork (like banana leaves) and other seasonings...
Yeah, other than play Hawaiian music and have Island food, I can't really think of much else. Prance around the house in your bikini?
Set up a beach blanket & picnic? Present him with a lei and tropical drink when he gets home? Floating candles and orchid blooms in clear glass bowls?
Anyway, congrats to you guys! Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure he's going to love it!
everyone else has given you great ideas already so I just wanted to wish you a happy anniversary
I love the idea of the tropical scented candles... you could also go get coconut/pineapple scented massage oil too

LOVE it. you could also make the famous Halekulani coconut cake.
how about picking up a romcom set in Hawaii? Blue Hawaii or Forgetting Sarah Marshall? That movie with Drew Barrymore & Adam Sandler?
Love it! Especially that the girls are only "somewhat" covered lol. That'll definitely get him in a, uh, anniversary mood ASAP!
And happy almost 2nd anniversary!

They sometimes have lei. Their website says April through July, but I'll see when I get there. haha, as a last resort, I could just stick a hibiscus flower over each "Girl".
Now, I need to learn how to make Kalua Pork.
I love all of the ideas so far. What would I do without you all?
