As many times I have watched "I didn't know I was pregnant"
I still can't believe it! It just seems so unreal. Does anyone know anyone who has gone most of their pregnancy without knowing? This totally freaks me out!
Re: As many times I have watched "I didn't know I was pregnant"
Wow!
Who knows the real story but this is what people were told.
Oh, I can't even watch that show anymore because it seems so ridiculous to me!
My bff is a nurse and said she had an ER patient once who came in complaining of stomache pain, etc, and found out she was 4 months pg with TWINS! So that's not anything crazy like going to the bathroom and hearing a baby crying like on that crazy show, but it's the closest story I know.
I, too, watched I Didn't Know I was Pregnant last night.
I started thinking maybe I'm pregnant and don't know it either. I started feeling my stomach like one of the doctors on the show did. LOL!
I've been sick for awhile only in the morning and night. Now I'm terrified I'll be like one of them.
It doesn't help that AF, who is always on time wasn't the past few months and I don't recall actually having a real period. It was like spotting.
Anyways watching the show made me want to see my doctor to make sure I don't end up like one of them not knowing!
If you're seriously concerned that you might be, just POAS. Save yourself the embarrassment at the doctors either way haha.
I agree that all of the stories sound nuts to me! I guess I can see that if you have an anterior placenta or whatever, and can't feel kicks at all, but I feel like there are so many other things that should tip you off! Who knows haha.. I think a lot of the time since it's people who aren't trying, they are convincing themselves that the weird symptoms they have are due to something else. Just a whole lot of denial, if you ask me.
Friend of mine was about 13 weeks before she figured it out. It was a huge whoopsie, so the morning sickness and exhaustion were mistaken for being sick. She didn't keep track of her periods, so she didn't notice she'd missed any. Who knows!
The only way I can maybe believe it's possible is if your cycle is completely crazy normally. But how do you not notice a separate life form?inside you?!? Come on, pay attention!
Although when my (rather stout) grandma was expecting my mom, she announced it only 18 days before she was born (mom was a month early, but still), and everyone was completely surprised, no one had any idea. She knew, but no one else did, not even her parents. I've seen pictures of the day she announced it, and yeah, she doesn't look pregnant. But she definitely knew she was expecting.
This, definitely this.
