He has had a rash on his armpits for weeks now. And he's had these little white spots on his arms and back for months. FINALLY this morning he told me to make him a dr appointment. So I did.
NOW he says he was kidding about the appointment and doesn't need to go. I think I'm going to make him go anyway. Why ask for the appointment if you don't intend to go???

Yes, make him go. MH is the same way, he just thinks things will go away with time. Not a great philosophy if you ask me, that's what health insurance is for.
I think what made me really mad was before we walked out the door I said to him "I'll make your appointment for tomorrow afternoon or Thursday afternoon, ok?" and he said ok! I'm not cancelling it. He can if he wants to but that's ridiculous.
I agree Jen - you never know what's going on til the doctor sees it.
DH finally went to the doctor after David's pediatrician yelled at him about his nagging cough.
While at the doctor's appointment, his Dr is giving him a referal for these bumps he gets on his hands. I've been asking him to go for the past two years. Nope. didn't budge until the dr said so.
MH did something like this too... my eyes have been breaking out and I've been frantic to figure out what's causing it. (It looks like I put fairly bright blush-colored eyeshadow around my eyes and in the creases of my upper lids randomly and is SUPER dry all of a sudden.)
Then I noticed I have red bumps down one of my legs. I mentioned them to MH and he said "Oh, I have those too! They've been there a couple of weeks" Duh?! You didn't bother to mention them until now?
We think it's the fabric softener sheets MH bought a few weeks ago. We were using some older ones - just cheapies - and MH bought Bounce or something that has special infusers or something on them (meant to make the scent last longer so your clothes stay fresher longer/throughout the day.)
GL - figuring things like this out is NO FUN and really a PITA.
