I know, I'm feeling sad about the death of this board. I remember when not checking in 3 days meant there were 5 pages of new posts. And when a post from the morning was on the next page by 11am.
Why did everyone stop posting?

Relevancy to anything that may get a reaction out of people.
When people create posts that don't ask a question or don't include a story worth commenting over our board goes to the shittter.
Some days people don't have anything to say. Other days people post things that say nothing.
guilty. i've hardly been on TN this week. i just got my wedding pro "digital negatives" in the mail, so i've been using my computer time towards designing an album in blurb...

Good to know there are locals are that more depressing than mine. You would think locals would be busier at least for vendor recs. (I'm referring to Knot locals and not Nest locals.)

It looks like my local on the nest is fairly busy, at least compared to this board. But there are also only a few people posting regularly.
To be honest, I don't think anything we post on this board has any relevancy to anything at all and only about 50% of what was posted when we were wedding planning had relevancy. People have always shared random shiit that no one cared about or posted polls or a million "OMG - can you believe there are only 532 days left until we get married?!?!" And now, the days where no one posts their thoughts of the day, there are no posts at all. There isn't any "point" and "relevancy" to this board anymore. We're all just used to posting here. And for me, I'm home by myself writing all day and I like the distraction.

Zee, I agree with you that a lot of our posts aren't relevant to much, but at least they spark a conversation. You post some crazy long winded posts about nothing (like your post yesterday about sleeping on an airmattress). Then, as I recall, last week you posted something about no one responding to your posts. Yesterday you post a random weekend story about sleeping on an air mattress and you wonder why no one responds.
If you don't post something with a question, or something that might get a rise out of people, you're not going to see much improvement with the board.
I do post a lot of long-winded ramblings. And I'm OK with the responses, or lack of responses. That shouldn't prevent anyone else from posting. I don't feel responsible for the death of this board.

I post mostly on MM because I like the speed/variety of the bigger boards and that is the one that I first got into due to working in finances. I like their polls and random talk, although it is near impossible to feel like you are "known" over there (some of them have been posting for like 5 years).
I do check here and check the local, but I rarely respond unless it is to a question/discussion or to wish someone congrats/good luck.
