I have crib bedding, people! And it's a thousand times more fabulous than I thought it would be. Now I just need a crib. And a baby!
Squeeee!
Re: IT'S HERE!
Fun!
We started looking at cribs and bedding, and stopped pretty quick. That stuff is expensive, especially nursery furniture. It's annoying how much it is.
I know! I don't know what we'd do if we weren't able to borrow my aunt's crib. And the bedding I was going to order brand new was going to be close to $250! Ebay was a savior.
I need to stalk eBay too. eBay is kind of hard to do b/c I can't get on it all day to check on the bidding since I am in school.
When we were looking at cribs and furniture I just kept saying this kid is going to have nicer bedroom furniture than we do. I am just glad we still have about 4 months to buy a crib, and any money I get for Christmas will be going towards a crib.
Did you end up going with the Honey Bee design? I love that one, and always have. D is iffy on it, so the new one we both like (and will probably go with) is this one: http://tinyurl.com/yz7xhe
That link won't work for some reason. I have the long link, but can't make it clicky on my mac.

You can click on that tiny little link for "more pictures" to really see it. It is under the main picture on the page.
Clicky.
It's so cute! Are you guys finding out the sex? If you find something on ebay that you like, let me know and I can bid on it for you during the day.
And yes, we did get the WB Honey Bee.
Oh how exciting! When are you going to start on the nursery?
You never know with cribs, my brother and sister in law surprised us and bought our crib as our gift. It was from Target, like $250 or so.
and today my Pottery Barn Kids catalog came in and OMG. Cutest.Bedding.EVER! It's the Peter Rabbit set. Thank goodness they didn't have it when I was pregnant because cheap it ain't!
Linky!

This was one of my fav neutral beddings. But Mr. Shoe hated it. =(
Sweet Pea
Isn't it soooo cute!
Precious! You're gonna have a blast setting everything up!
When do you get the crib from your aunt?
It's ready to be picked up now but we aren't going to go until we finish painting. Now that we have bedding we can pick out paint color. And next weekend we are cleaning out the nursery (pray for us) and then as soon as Mr. Shoe has a weekend off we're going to actually paint and finally go get our crib!
Hopefully all this will happen before Thanksgiving. We have the babe's dresser in our bedroom right now and a side table I found on Craigslist that Mr. Shoe needs to refinish. And there's a bookshelf at Target that we're going to get. The last big piece is the recliner that we're ordering! Aaah! It's like someone will be moving in or something! LOL
Kinda neat story here (recliner reminded me of it):
So Elise and I came home from the hospital and then I had to go back in for almost a week. My mom and dad were helping at home with the baby. A couple of days into it, while my mom was visiting me she asked if I used to sit in the glider rocker in the nursery a lot while I was pregnant. I told her I had, I had it in the living room for a few months and would sit in it and crochet while watching TV. She said that Elise would settle down immediately every time she would start rocking her in it. And my dad told her that he would fix the squeak it made, but my mom wouldn't let him. She said that she thinks Elise recognized the movement pattern and the squeak sound from when I was pregnant with her, and it comforted her when she was "an outside baby". Isn't that neat? Even now she likes me to rock her in it when she's not feeling good.
