I had mine cleaned and preserved and I planned on saving it for baptismal gowns for the kidos.  Then someone on the local board said they would save it for their daughter to play dress up.

What did all of you decide to do with your wedding dresses?

    I'm not keeping mine. I'm doing another trash the dress session, and then I'll donate it.

    My wedding dress is in the hall closet exactly like it has been for the last (almost) 10 months.  I plan on doing a trash the dress before we move, but that is rapidly approaching.  I would like to preserve it...some day.  I bet those stains from the reception (bottom of skirt where it dragged the ground all night) are there to stay now!!

    I like the idea of trash the dress although I just took it to the cleaner like a month ago. Waited forever so I'm sure they will have a blast trying to get the caked on dirt out (we had LOTS of rain). Maybe I'll do a trash the dress for like a 5 year anniversary or something. I don't think I want to get rid of it though.

    I don't really come on the Nov 07 board, but saw this and it caught my eye.  I wanted to save mine for christening outfits for my future children, but my dress was all tulle so it wasn't really practical.  I'm selling mine at a consignment shop and we are going to use my mom's wedding dress to make christening outfits.

    My dress is still at my parents house probably in a ball in the bag (the way I left it)  My mom wants to get it cleaned and preserved but I think it would be fun to put it on for our 5 year anniversary (its corset so it should fit) but I have no plans for my dress.  I will probably end up keeping it and if my daughter wants to wear it great if not oh well.

    my original idea was to have a barbie dress made of it ( I collect Barbies) but we can't find someone that does that.

    Mine is still in the garment bag in our closet. ?I want to have it cleaned but I won't have it preserved. ?I used a portion of my mom's for around my flowers (since I would not have been caught dead in her dress, ha!), so I want my future daughter to have that same option if she wants. ?I wanted to do a TTD but money and pregnancy "got in the way." ?Ha!
