I really wish I would be more selective but I am afraid of hurting somebody's feelings. So lame.

I don't know where it started. Somewhere on the nest.
I picked SS. I will add almost anyone who requests me if i know who they are. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
But I only request people I actually want to be FB friends with. I have to either already know them IRL or really know who they are on the nest because I'm weary of adding total strangers.
For creating the poll I shouldn't be a SS but I am.
I do not request to be friends with people unless I am very close to them. As to accepting a friend request, most of the time I deny unless I am fearful that they will be hurt. For some reason HS friends are exceptions to this rule as I am too curious as to what they are doing now, since I didn't keep in contact with anyone. Sometimes I also accept the request and then later go back later and take them off. There are always exceptions to the rule as well.
I accept almost everyone that sends me a request because I don't want anyone getting feelings hurt. With my MILs friends, I accepted to avoid any drama - I think its ridiculous that they added me in the first place though. I've only denied a few people from HS that I didn't knwo well then.
As for requesting myself, I send some requests to those I'm not super close to. It's nice to stay caught up with what's going on.
I've added a few people even though I wonder why they added me. However, I have turned people away. Two of those however many were from work. They asked why & I was honest. We don't hang out outside of work, why would we be fb friends? that makes no sense. Besides......I log on from work. I don't need that spreading like wild fire. hehe
I'm still pretty new to FB, so most of the requests I've had are from people I know, so I add them. I'll only deny people I don't know or don't like.
I don't really get what Special Snowflake mean.
