Quiche

Does anyone have a good quiche recipe? I have some smoked sausage, peppers and onions that I wanted to use and since eggs went on sale for 39 cents a dozen my first thought was some sort of quiche. I've never made it before so any recipes or pointers would be great.

Re: Quiche

  • My entire family is french, so quiche is pretty much my middle name.

On holidays there's literally a 10 quiche spread at my grandparents house. Best one I've ever had was something like a breakfast quiche. I am not sure how to prepare it though. My aunt took hasbrown and make the crust of the quiche and the inside was made with bacon, onions and peppers. It was absolutely delicious.

She also makes one with fresh tomato, basil and mozerella and pesto.

  • It's not quiche, but my friend makes awesome frittata. You just put whatever you want in a pan, add eggs and cheese, and bake it for 15 minutes. I googled a recipe and it came out really good.

    My recipe/attempt at Quiche:

Get in car and drive to Costco

Walk to frozen food section and take box of frozen quiche

    Turn on oven and bake

They actually turned out okay, then again I have never had something decent to compare it to!

  • I'm no help here either... the only quiche I've ever had was baked in a frozen pie crust.  I wasnt really a fan so I've never tried to make one on my own.
