somewhere to take visiting foodies.

I have some foodie friends visiting from St Louis. They are landing at Love Field on Wednesday afternoon and we are having lunch. No chain restaurants, no steak. They've been to Dallas before so this doesn't have to be 'Texas food' and they are having Mexican for dinner.

Give me your best yummy foodie lunch suggestions .. GO!

Re: somewhere to take visiting foodies.

  • Mamas Daughters on Royal and Harry Hines, close to Love Field, is a hole in the wall diner with great home cooked food.  Michaels Italian Kitchen in Las Colinas, north of 635 on macarthur, has the best italian food!!!  There is a thai place on the canal in Las Colinas that is very good also but I cant remember the name right now...maybe best thai but I am not sure.

  • I just looked at the Tillman's menu, and I think if I ever went, I'd just get the peanut butter & chocolate chip cookie sandwich as my meal.  YUM!

This! We went with family yesterday for our anniversary and every person got something different and finished it all. It is incredibly delicious, is a fun atmosphere, and you HAVE to get the s'mores. Homemade marshmallows and you heat them up at your table. (Plus shopping is great if you go before 8ish)
