I just realized it's 47 out and 61 inside. I am thinking it should be warmer than that in here?
Re: Do you have the heat on?
Mother's Day, 2011
... every single day of forever.
Never mind about my previous post. DH found our cat curled up under the comforter on our bed (she's 5 and we've never seen her do this before) so he finally believed me that the 61 degree temp is too cold in the house!!!
That and we're watching the Phillies game which makes you cold just to watch it. Who wants to play baseball in this weather??? It's below freezing there for goodness sake!
We do but just enough to take the chill out of the house. We are really impressed with the ability of the new house to hold heat in though, we have it set at 63 and the house is staying at 65.
We are holding out!! Our apt is the first floor of an old stone house, so the only thing it's really good for is keeping the cold air in- but the temp inside hasn't dropped below 62 yet, which is good. Our landlord doesn't allow space heaters, so last night we boiled a gallon of water in the dutch oven and set the whole thing in the middle of the living room (a makeshift mini-boiler!), and that took the chill off pretty well.
I wanted to make it to Halloween, but it's not looking like that will happen...
