Good morning and Thankful Thursday

Morning all.  I was out sick yesterday for the headache that tackled me hard on Tuesday.  (Really... a headache alone, I can manage.  But dizziness AND blurry vision... nope, not driving into work, sorry!)  I wish my CW who gave it to me (sits next to me) would go to the Dr already.  Today marks one full week she's had this nasty headache!

How's everyone today?

Also, let's make Thursdays Thankful-day.  (Thirsty Thursday was what we've done in the past, but this bartender cannot keep up. LOL)  So let's have it: what are you thankful for today?

Re: Good morning and Thankful Thursday

  • Morning, I'm feeling better today except for my head.  If I look out of the corner of my eyes or look up without moving my head it really hurts.  So I am trying to remember to move my head to look different ways instead of just my eyes.  It's really annoying.  Derick is still sick but doing better also.

Today I am thankful for my doggies.  They have been incredibly sweet this past week.  I am thankful for MH, who has been by my side all week.  I am thankful for the nice nurses at the hospital yesterday who took great care to not stick me a million times looking for a good vein!

  • Morning. Im literally worn out. Weve been gone everyday and i slept for 11 hours when we came home. SIL cannot understand it so theres my complaint since i cant complain anywhere else right now LOL. I am enjoying MIL being around and telling me stories :)

Im thankful for my health and thankful that right now things are going as they should. Of course im thankful for familiy as well and hubby.

  • Good morning!

I just want to start off with a complaint about those damn rolling bookbag type things.  Everyone in downtown Chicago that uses them annoys the crap out of me.  They stop dead in their tracks so they can extend the handle and then walk so dang slow with their bag trailing behind them.  It also doesn't help that the damn bags barely roll since they are flopping back and forth all over the place.  I hate them with a passion! I also hate the people that stand on escalators.  Now there is an unspoken rule that if you just going to stand there stand on the right side and leave the left side open for those that want to walk up.  Nope, not today.

Now that my rant is over :o)   I'm thankful for having tomorrow off and able to spend time with David at home and not have to worry about work projects.

  • Morning!  I'm feeling a lot better today than I have in the past week too Paula.

I'm thankful for such an understanding husband.  A friend moved in with us yesterday (for an indefinite period of time) because she and her husband are seperating and she had nowhere else to go. When I called MH to say "A needs a place to stay, she just left B" he said "Put her in the big guest room.  Does she need me to pick up anything on my way home for her?  I never liked B anyway."

  • Good Morning, I sneaking on from work as things are really quite slow.

I'm thankful that I get to leave today after my 9:30 meeting which hopefully will give me insight into a new project.  I'm thankful that Cate kisses me goodbye in the morning when I drop her at school instead crying and holding onto my leg which she did for 3 solid months.  I'm also thankful that I made her tutu instead of buying it, I'm so not crafty so it was a huge feat for me and I'm so proud of it she get's to wear it tomorrow night for "Boo in the Zoo"!

I hope you intend to take pics so we can all see!  She's getting so big!

I'm thankful for my "family."  I put it in quotes, because none of my ACTUAL family is in that.  It's the little group of people I love and know love me in return... those people are there for me - anytime, and would do absolutely anything for me.  They're what makes life good. Smile

Despite having a cold or whatever it is, I'm really thankful for my health.  I get so discouraged that I'm not where I want to be all the time, but both MH, myself, Xena, and the "family" are healthy.  I can't ignore that - it's amazing and I'm very thankful for that.  So I'm not where I want to be with regard to fitness levels (I'm slow, I'm larger than I want to be, etc), but I'm healthy and at least I'm able to keep plugging away at improving my slowness and largeness. LOL Not everyone has that opportunity.

I'm thankful for the simple life MH and I live.  We, for the most part, have a drama-free life, and a good life.  We're blessed with a decent roof over our heads, good vehicles, etc.  We don't have the best of everything, but we've got a good life - and neither of us feels we have to have the best of everything.  We've got more than "the best" could afford us anyway.

  • Good morning girls! Happy almost Friday!

I am really thankful for my husband, it sounds cheesey but he really is my rock through everything. He has really stepped it up in the last year and become everything I ever wanted in a partner. And I agree with Paula, I love our simple, very little drama lives.

I am also thankful for my family, and my few amazing friends that get me through everything.

I think your husband would be thankful for this as well... because the throat-punching, ninja-outfit-wearing Nesties are less likely to be lurking around dark corners ready to jump out at him. LOL

I'm thankful for shoes that can double as weapons.  Stick out tongue

I'm thankful for having the ability to travel to these OOT races - this includes the hubs and our families for sacrificing the time/money involved with the travel and training for them.  It's not cheap and a lot of people would have told me "no" by now...Mike just tells me that we'd better cut back in other things so we can save up for them.  Also, I'm grateful b/c someday I may not have the ability to run like this and it'll be too hard on my body.

I'm thankful I have a great job that I really love.  It's stressful at times and my CWs can get on my nerves, but I really do enjoy what I do, even with all the drama that comes with it sometimes.

Lastly, I'm thankful for friends that have stuck by me over the past year when I've ignored them, blew them off and have just been a bad friend in general.  I've worked my ass off for this test and I've lost touch with a lot of people b/c of it...a few have called me out and a few have just disappeared, and I'm glad for the ones who have stuck by me.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

I am thankful for the ninja-nesties because I know they will pop up if I need them.  With their shoe weapons.

  • I am thankful for my health and the health of my family. I have heard so many stories of peoples losses lately and I have been really trying to stop and take the time to reach out to my friends and family more. You never know what tomorrow can bring. I am thankful for how my life has changed in the past year and a half. A year ago if you told me i was going to be out of debt and buy a house I would have laughed at you. I finally have my own home, a great husband and 2 beautiful girls. I am not sure what I have done to be so lucky, but I will never take it for granted.
  • I am thankful for my office staff.  This morning they made breakfast for all the bosses in honor of boss's day (tomorrow).  It was yummy and completely homemade (down to the biscuits and gravy).  And they bought me a chocolate bar!

  • I am thankful for the extra sleep I finally got, for my MS being under control, for a wonderful husband, the best friends a girl could ask for and the bean that's growing in my belly!
